Mumbai: Actor Akshay Kumar’s mother Aruna Bhatia passed away at Mumbai’s Hiranandani Hospital earlier today. He was hospitalized on September 3 in critical condition.
Sharing this sad news on Twitter, Akshay wrote, “She was my core. And today I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence. My maa Smt Aruna Bhatia peacefully left this world today morning and got reunited with my dad in the other world. I respect your prayers as I and my family go through this period. Om Shanti.”

On September 7, Akshay on his twitter had thanked his fans and loved ones for all the support and prayers for her mother. “Touched beyond words at your concern for my mom’s health. This is a very tough hour for me and my family. Every single prayer of yours would greatly help”.
Upon learning of his mother’s illness, Akshay returned to Mumbai after canceling his tour of England. Akshay Kumar is busy shooting for the upcoming film ‘Cinderella’. Akshay’s fans and film industry colleagues have expressed their deepest condolences.
