Actor Manoj Kumar Passes Away at 87

Veteran actor Manoj Kumar passes away at the age of 87 while undergoing treatment at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai this morning at 4.03 am.

According to medical reports, the cause of his death was identified as cardiogenic shock due to acute myocardial infarction, a severe heart attack.
The reports also confirmed that Kumar had been battling decompensated liver cirrhosis in the past few months, which contributed to his declining health.

He was admitted to the hospital on February 21, 2025, after his condition worsened.
Born Harikrishan Goswami on July 24, 1937, in Amritsar, Punjab, Manoj Kumar carved a niche for himself in Hindi cinema.

Popular for his patriotic films the yesteryear actor first started his journey in Bollywood from Fashion Brand in 1957. The movie got him none to little recognition after which he somewhere his films tanked in the industry. After four years his gain to fame began with his first leading role in Kaanch ki Gudiya in 1961.

He was nicknamed ‘Bharat Kumar’ by the masses. The year 1965 turned his life with the first release of the same year being Shaheed based on the life of Bhagat Singh.
