Odisha reported 443 new Covid Positive cases and out of that, 243 cases from Khurda District only, which is nearly 54 % of the daily cases reported in state during 24 hours. 75 cases are under 18 years’ age. Almost 11 districts did not report any new cases and 11 districts reported cases in single digit only.
Districts which have reported new Covid cases in double digit are: Balasore (14), Cuttack (27), Jajpur (11), Kendrapara (10), Mayurbhanj (20), Puri (13) and Sundergarh (11). But, Khurda district alone reported 243 new cases.
Also, of 443 cases, 258 people were in quarantine and rest 185 are local contact cases.
Odisha’s total covid tally (since the beginning of the pandemic) increased to10,35,077 and of this, 10,21,742 patients have already recovered including 562 new recoveries reported during last 24 hours.
Active caseload goes below 5 K. It is now, 4,997.
3 deaths registered and total death toll increased to 8,285.
55,115 tests have been conducted and daily positivity rate stands at 0.80 %.
