Odia Film Director attempts Suicide
Odia Film Director Bobby Islam and actor Mitu Mithun attempted suicide this afternoon. In the wake of the 31st Film Awards controversy, “Chhabirani” director Bobby Islam and actor Mitu Mithun attempted suicide.
But both Bobby and Mitu have been picked up by police before attempting suicide. They have alleged that, the original film was not awarded whereas the copy film got award. As alleged by Bobby Islam, the film, which was copied from the Korean film “Hope” and the Punjabi film “Carry On Jatta”, won the State Film Award.
The 31st State Film Awards were announced on May 5. After that, some questions have been raised regarding the selection of awards by some Film Industry People.
