Odisha Records 8778 Fresh Covid-19 Cases In A Single Day
Odisha reported 8778 new Covid-19 cases in 24 hours, taking state’s total (since the beginning of the pandemic) to 10,91,547.
Yesterday, 752 people recovered from the disease and with this, 10,47,783 people have recovered from the disease so far.
Active Caseload stands at 35,242.
74,611 samples have been tested in 24 hours and out of that, 8,778 samples are found to be positive. Daily Positivity Rate increases further to 11.76 percent.
Also, as reported by Health & Family Welfare Department, 792 cases are under 18-years of age. Also, of 8778 new Covid-19 cases, 5096 people were in quarantine and rest 3682 cases are from local contacts.

Khurda, Sundergargh, Cuttack and Sambalpur registered 2615, 1252, 766 and 596 daily cases respectively.
Other districts who have more than 200 cases in 24 hours are Mayurbhanj 338, Balasore 231, Balangir 216, Puri 216 and Jharsuguda 203 cases.
Also, 575 cases have been detected from State Pool.
But, no deaths have been recorded in last 24 hours. The total death toll remains at 8,469.
