BJP MLA Jayanarayan Mishra allegedly assaulted Dhanupalli Police Station’s IIC, female Police Officer Anitarani Pradhan. Following the incident, tensions at the Sambalpur Collectorate ran high.
Sources said, Police stopped the BJP leaders and workers as they were approaching the collector’s office, and the activists scuffled with the police.
In the meantime, the legislator started shouting at the female IIC and physically abused her, resulting in an unfavourable situation on the spot.
However, Mishra refuted the allegations by asserting that IIC rather manhandled him.
