Odisha Record 145 Fresh Cases Of Omicron; Total Rose To 347
Odisha registered 145 more cases of Omicron variant, which is highly contagious variant of Covid-19, the Health and Family Welfare Department said on Wednesday.
The Institute Of Life Sciences (ILS) conducted genome sequencing of 249 samples and from which, the new strain was found in 145 samples.

Further Institute has informed to the State Health Department about the detection of 145 cases of the new variant of the Coronavirus.
With the fresh addition, the New Variant’s tally in the State meanwhile has climbed up to 347.
On December 21, Odisha reported 2 cases of Omicron. Both are foreign returnees.
