Bhubaneswar: April 25: KIIT Student Moti wins Silver & Rajendra wins Bronze in Weightlifting at Khelo India University Games
The Khelo India University Games 2021 jointly organized by Sports Authority of India (SAI) and Association of Indian Universities (AIU) is held at Jain University, Bangalore from 24th April – 02nd May 2022.
On the 2nd day today, Ms. Moti Jani from KIIT University won the Silver medal in 59kg Category (Women) with a total lift of 168 kg (74 Kg in Snatch and 94 kg in Clean and Jerk). Rajendra Muduli won the Bronze medal in 61 Kg Category (Men) with a total lift of 238 Kg (108kg in Snatch and 130 kg inClean and Jerk).
Prof. Achyuta Samanta, Founder KIIT & KISS & Member ofParliament Kandhamal congratulated both Rajendra & Moti for winning medals and conveyed his best wishes for the upcoming tournaments. The players thanked Prof. Achyuta Samanta for his constant guidance & support.
