New Delhi, Jan 5: The Union Health Ministry dispatched a three-member team to Manipur to assess the ground situation after a strong earthquake hit the northeastern region today, leaving six dead and 90 others injured.
Health Minister J P Nadda is constantly in touch with the North Eastern states affected by the earthquake and all support is being provided to them.
At least six persons were killed and over 90 injured as a 6.7 magnitude earthquake with epicentre in Manipur hit the northeastern region.
Manipur bore the brunt of the temblor which struck at 4.35 AM with its epicentre at Tamenglong district at a depth of 17 km below the ground.
