Bhubaneswar: July 5: A criminal gang responsible for a string of thefts on the National Highway has been apprehended by Khordha Police. Three members of the criminal gang have reportedly been detained in this regard, according to senior officials. From the arrested suspect, two motorcycles and several gold chains have been recovered.
Khordha SP Siddharth Kataria said that the group operated in the Nirakarpur and Tangi areas and used to snatch gold chains and other valuables from people, mostly on the National Highway.
Senior police officials said that CCTV cameras will be put up in key areas of Khordha Town Police, Banpur, and Balugaon and that the fight against anti-socials will get stronger.
