Bhubaneswar: October 30: The list of the 11 deceased who have been identified thus far out of the 14 following the sad train accident that occurred in Andhra Pradesh on Sunday evening was made public by the Vizianagaram district administration. They are not from Odisha.
Out of the 14 deceased, nine are males, two are females and three bodies are yet to be identified. The list of the deceased includes SMS Rao (loco pilot) and M Srinivas (Guard of Palasa Passenger Train).

As per the administration, out of 52 injured persons, three are seriously injured. All the injured persons are getting treatment in Vizianagaram Hospital. As per the latest report, 29 have already been discharged, and 23 of them are still under treatment.
Notably, the collision between the Visakhapatnam-Palasa passenger train and the Visakhapatnam-Rayagada passenger train was exacerbated by derailed coaches colliding with a goods train on an adjacent track.
Meanwhile, the restoration work on the railway track is going on to make it fit for the trains to run on it by this evening.
