IMD Issues Yellow Warning for 12 Districts

Bhubaneswar: The Meteorological Department has predicted that heavy rain will lash Odisha till September 26, 2024. According to the weather prediction, two cyclonic circulation are currently active over Bay of Bengal and it’s nearby areas. The cyclonic circulation is expected to intensify into a low pressure over the northwest and adjacent Central Bay of Bengal.

Under the influence of this low pressure, various places of the state will receive rainfall till September 26. Moreover, a yellow warning has been issued for heavy rain in 12 districts of Odisha  including Puri, and Khurdha today.

Likewise, many other districts has also received a yellow warning for heavy rainfall for September 25. Many places across the state will likely receive light to medium rain along with thunderstorm and lighting.

The districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Puri, Khurda, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur and Kendrapara has received a yellow alert for heavy rain for September 22. The path and effect of the low pressure will be known after it forms today.
