Malkangiri: In a tragic incident, an elderly woman died in Malkangiri district of Odisha recently. She was found fallen in an abandoned well in the 119 colony of Malkangiri town.
The deceased has been identified as Padmaja Pattanaik. As per reports, yesterday night somehow the elderly woman fell into the abandoned well. After a few people noticed the body in the well they informed the Fire Services Department.
The Fire Services personnel reached the spot and fished out the body from the well. It is not clear whether accidentally the elderly woman fell into the well or she intentionally jumped into it to suicide or anybody pushed her. After getting information Police reached the spot and initiated investigation. Further probe of the case is underway.
