Crocodile Spotted in Daya River

Pipili: A crocodile has been spotted in the Daya River. As per the witnesses it is a Mugger crocodile. The crocodile was seen in the Konti in Pipili area of Puri district in Odisha on Monday morning.

The locals of the area are in a panic in since this is for the first time a crocodile has been witnessed in this River here in years. As a safety measure the locals have been requested not to venture into the river. The sight of crocodiles has created an atmosphere of fear among the riverside people.

After getting information about presence of the crocodile in the River, hundreds of people crowded the River bank to witness the wild reptile. The Forest Department had reportedly not any information regarding this. It is to be noted that a crocodile had been spotted in the Kuakhai River two days ago.
