Sonepur: In a tragic incident, two friends were killed in a road mishap on Monday morning in Subarnapur district of Odisha. The accident took place in Katapali village under Binika Police Station limits in the district. The deceased youths have been identified as Rajendra Barik (38) and Sachit Padhan (25).
As per reports, the two friends were going to Lachhipur in a bike for some work. When they were at the village end of Katapali another speeding bike hit them from the rear side. Following the incident, the locals rushed the two friends to Binika hospital. However, the doctors there announced Rajendra Barik as dead.
Since Sachita Pradhan’s health condition was critical, he had been referred to the VIMSAR hospital in Burala of Sambalpur district. However, on the way to the hospital only he also succumbed to the injury.
After getting information Police reached the spot and then hospital and initiated investigation. Body of Rajendra Barik has been kept at the Binika medical while body of Sachit’s body has been kept at the Burla medical. Rajendra was married and he had two children. Further investigation of the case is underway.
