Puri: The famous Lord Jagannath temple in the holy city of Puri in Odisha will remain closed for devotees for five hours tomorrow. Devotees will be barred from getting darshan of the deities from about 5 pm in the evening to 10 pm in the night for the Banakalagi ritual.
As per reports, Srimandira, the famous Lord Jagannath temple in Puri of Odisha will remain shut for visitors on Wednesday evening from 5 pm to 10 pm. This will be done for the execution of the Banakalagi ritual of the deities.
It is to be noted that the famous Banakalagi ritual of Lord Jagannath and siblings is observed on the Krushna Trayodashi tithi. The Srimandira temple administration informed about this development today.
