Bhubaneswar: In a dramatic turn of events, former Bari MLA Sunanda Das has leveled serious allegations against the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) just a day after resigning from the party’s primary membership.
Das claimed that party tickets were being distributed by officers, specifically naming D S Kutey and Ashish Singh as the individuals aspirants were directed to meet for securing a ticket.
Das also criticized BJD’s former Organisational Secretary, Pranab Prakash Das, accusing him of betrayal. “He used to assure us that he would never backstab anyone, citing his lineage as the son of Ashok Das. I trusted him completely and was confident of receiving a party ticket based on his assurances,” Sunanda Das stated.
She further alleged that her entry into the party was a strategic move to sideline Debasis Nayak and expressed her disappointment at being denied a ticket for the 2024 elections despite her dedicated service to the people of Bari since her 2019 Assembly win.
