Chandipur (Balasore), Jan 7: The annual Golden Beach Fest of Chandipur is all set to begin with colourful start from today evening at the Chandipur beach in Balesore district.
The local Defence units, the Proof and Experimental Establishment and the Integrated Test Range will showcase their guns, artilleries and missiles in the exhibition. Guinness World Records holder Major Nitin Joshi would lead an 11-km Mashal rally to mark the inauguration of the festival. Artistes from different parts of the district and outside would perform Chhau, Ranapa, Kathak, Bharta Natyam, Kuchupudi, Ghumar and Bihu dances each evening.
Like earlier years, the festival is expected to witness large number tourists from various parts of the country.
