Bhubaneswar: Commissionerate Police have been given with 30 ERSS vehicles so that Police can reach the crime spot immediately. In case of any accident, crime or any other emergency, these vehicles will reach the scene immediately.
These vehicles will provide immediate assistance to the police personnel. The new ERSS vehicles have been launched by Chief Minister Mohan Majhi on Thursday. A special function was held at the Police Commissionerate headquarters for this. ERSS stands for Emergency Response Support System.
The Odisha government has sanctioned 30 Emergency Response Support System vehicles to expedite the emergency process and provide better services by dialling to 112. Facilities will be available in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar Commissionerate areas. The police will provide primary health care, ambulance and fire services.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that the police department will be further strengthened by this. 10,000 posts will be filled in the housing department. Steps will be taken to increase the strength and self-confidence of the police.
