PM Modi committed to development of Odisha: MP Pratap Sarangi

Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed to the development of Odisha, BJP Balasore MP Pratap Sarangi said here on Friday.

“A developed India is possible with only the development of eastern part of the country and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working to achieve this since the first day of assuming the responsibility of the government,” he said at a press conference here.

Under the watchful supervision of Modi, all efforts are being made to give a real and successful implementation of programmes for the poor, youth, farmers and women, the BJP MP said.

“After the formation of the BJP government in the State under the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, work is being done to fulfil the hopes and aspirations of four and a half crore Odias. Efforts are being made to take the history, culture, tradition, art, language, food etc. of Odisha to the world stage,” Sarangi added.

The Prime Minister is visiting Odisha for the fifth time since the formation of the BJP government in the state and for the first time, various national and international conferences are being organized in Odisha, he added.

The BJP leader said that Odisha’s prestige and honor have heightened through the Police DG Summit, Indian Navy Day celebration, and the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Summit.

He said a grand welcome has been planned for the prime minister for the day-long visit for the Utkarsh Odisha-Make in Odisha event.

“This summit will enable large-scale investment in Odisha and will help in the economic growth of the state under the direct supervision of the Prime Minister,” he said.

Sarangi also spoke about the plan of the party to observe the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda and Sardar Patel, the Samvidhan Gourav Abhiyan, and the birth centenary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee in a grand manner.
