Rayagarh Railway Division Gets Cabinet Nod

Rayagarh: The Central Government has approved the creation of a new railway division in Rayagarh. Following the approval, the Waltiar division will be renamed as Vishakhapatnam Division and this will be under the Southern railway division.

A new Rayagarh division will be created and it will be headquarted at Rayagarh. Under this division, Kottabhalsa- Bacheli, Kuneru-Therubali JN, Singapur road-Koraput Junction and Parlakhemundi-Gunpur stations will be present.

Rayagarh, Koraput, Gajapati, Nabarangpur, Malkangiri, Kalahandi and other tribal dominated districts will be benefitted from this. Amit Singh have been appointed as the new DIRM to strengthen the Railways in this area.

This move of creating a new division will be in the benefit of the tribal people of Odisha. The regional economic progress, local skills and other progress of the area will be immensely impacted by the new Division.
