BHUBANESWAR: Lulu Group, the leading Middle East retail giant, is set to expand its sourcing operations in Odisha. The company has signed an MoU with Odisha-based Highland Group at Gulfood 2025 in Dubai.
A high-level Lulu Group delegation will visit Odisha on Monday to explore sourcing opportunities and assess production facilities.
The agreement was signed on Saturday by Saleem VI, COO of Lulu Group, and Pratik Jena, MD of Highland Group, in the presence of Lulu Group Chairman Yusuffali MA and senior executives.
With 257 hypermarkets and supermarkets, Lulu Group serves 650,000 shoppers daily and generates an annual turnover of over $8 billion.
“We see immense potential in Odisha for sourcing high-quality agri products. Our team will visit soon, and sourcing will begin immediately,” said Yusuffali MA.
Beyond sourcing, Lulu Group is exploring shopping malls and hypermarkets in Odisha, strengthening its presence in India.
