IPS reshuffle: Jagmohan Meena appointed DCP Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has appointed four IPS officers on March 1. IPS Jagamohan Meena has been appointed as the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Bhubaneswar.

He is currently holding the post of Cuttack DCP. IPS Pinaka Mishra has been appointed the Deputy Inspector in General of Special Task Force (DIG STF). IPS Narsingha Bhol (RR-2002) has been appointed as Additional Commissioner of Police in place of IPS officer Umashankar Dash. Bhol is currently the Excise Commissioner.

It is to be noted that three young IPS officers have been entrusted to maintain the law and order in Bhubaneswar.

IPS Ankit Kumar Varma and IPS Amrit Lal Kaur have been appointed as the Additional DCPs of Bhubaneswar. The former is currently posted as SDPO of Jeypore while the latter is the SDPO of Padmapur. They both belong to the 2012 batch.

Sonali Singh Parmar (RR-2022) was appointed as ACP of Bhubaneswar, currently posted as SDPO, Bonai. The last few days have proved to be very challenging for maintaining the law and order. The order of IPS reshuffle was released on February 28.

Odisha government effected a major IPS reshuffle and gave new appointment to 26 senior officers including the DCPs of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar.
