Bhubaneswar, Jan 11: In its bid to improve the management of traffic system in the Twin City of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar, the State government is planning to set up two more traffic police stations.
Police Commissioner R P Sharma speaking at the inauguration of Road Safety Week here today said as many as 170 personnel will be engaged in these two police stations.
Sharma said the need has arisen as places like Khandagiri, Patia and Chandrasekharpur are rapidly growing with more number of vehicles playing on the road and shortage of traffic police personnel.
Notably, there are 22 and 21 police stations in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack respectively.
