Bhadrak, Apr 7: Not so soon, but Bhadrak seems quite quiet today after the recent fight that erupted due to the religious comment on Social media. Seems the situation is developing, though no negative incident have yet been reported since a day.
Though Sec 144 is still in force, daily life at the town seems to be running well as shops, and business houses at various places have started functioning, while local and interstate transport systems also seems functioning well. In view of students’ safety, educational institutions have been closed, however, exams centres remain open with adequate security personnels deployed at the centres.
Nearly 15 platoon police personnels have been deployed in the town. While patrolling at various place is still on going, said sources.
Notably, acting over some disrespectful comments on Lord Ram and Goddess Sita, over Facebook, activists of Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal staged road blocks in the town and protested against the act. Following to this, the district admin had clamped Sec 144 in the town.
While shops and business houses around the town remained closed, transport services seemed to had halted resulting in serious problems for daily commuters.
