Odisha government launches mobile science lab

Bhubaneswar, Apr 14: To help young students to boost up there talent and to understand the different scientific concepts, the state  govt. has launched a school community science program who is aimed to create an environment of learning, Chief secretary Aditya Padhi while flagging off the programme.
The mobile science labs vehicles, which are well equipped with various audio-visual systems with emergency solar back up support, will spread knowledge about science and maths through AV communication. Along with, the vehicles are also fitted with GPS tracker, to keep a track of it’s movement.
The mobile labs which have been started in collaboration with Tata Consultancy Services, will focus on programmes mainly for educating children of age group 8-13 and will also work on building teachers’ capacity, focus on women literacy and will also provide access to education to the minorities, said Amrita Patwardhan, Head of Education portfolio, Tata trust.
