Bhubaneswar, Sept 7: Acid attack by a miscreant named Abhi Ojha caused critical burn injuries to a youth named Bhagirathi Bej. The incident happened in capital city’s Jagannnath Vihar, Rasulgarh area on Tuesday night.
As per the information, Ojha allegedly threw acid on Bej while he was sleeping which caused critical injuries on his face and hand. The miscreant fled from the spot immediately. Bej has been admitted at a private hospital.
To catch hold of the accused, police has begun investigation into the matter.
Past rivalry is suspected to be the reason behind the crime.
