Delhi: August 5: In last 24 hours 41,726 patients have recovered from the disease whereas 42,982 fresh Covid Positive cases were found in India.
Active cases number has gone up to 4,11,076 which is 1.29 percent of the country’s total Positive Cases. 3,09,74,748 people have already recovered from COVID-19 so far and the overall recovery rate remains at 97.37%.
Weekly Positivity Rate is currently at 2.37% and the Daily Positivity rate stands at 2.58% today.
Daily Positivity rate has remained below 5% for 59 consecutive days now.
Among States, Kerala accounts for 50% of the country’s new Covid cases. Nine districts out of the 14 are reporting 1,000-plus daily infections.
Sone Experts say, this is going through the third wave with the Delta variant infection spreading fast.
The State witnessed first mega wave in 2020 from March to November and the Second Wave hit the State in January 2021.
