Koraput, May 5: As soon as the government of India permits, the Saheed Laxman Nayak Medical College and Hospital here will commence its admissions for this academic session. The permission came in once the Medical Council of India (MCI) team approved after conducting an inspection at the institution.
The superintendent of SLN Medical College Sitaram Mohapatra informed the media that once the permission letter comes in from the Centre, the admission process for the 100 seats would begin. He added that the MCI officials upon inspection were happy. The Minimum Standard Requirements as per MCI guidelines, starting from facilities to college infrastructure including library and hostels for 100 students have been completed. Once the MCI team sends its recommendation to the Government of India, the Centre will grant the LoP.
