Bhubaneswar, Oct 29: Reacting to false information which was published in a flight magazine of Air India (AI) named Shubh Yatra, the Air India today tweeted and apologized for the false report. In the magazine, AI mentioned that non-vegetarian Mahaprasada is available at the Ananda Bazaar of the Sri Mandir, Puri.
Air India in its twitter page mentioned- “#AI apologizes for the error. Our intention was not to hurt sentiments. #ShubhYatra magazine copies have been removed with immediate effect.”
Further AI CMD, Ashwani Lohani also apologized for the same and informed through twitter that necessary action has been taken by the authority. The CMD further added that no article will be published by the author, who has also given a written apology for the error.
On the other hand, protesting against the published magazine content, a demonstration near the temple was observed by the members of Jagannath Sena today demanding stiff action against the officials of AI.
Saying this as unfortunate, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said that the matter will be delt with the appropriate authorities.
Expressing his reaction and commenting this as non-acceptable, Ashok Panda, Ministry of Tourism and Culture said that the information given in the magazine ‘Shubh Yatra’ is false and the article should have been published after proper verification.
A letter in this regard will be issued to the authorities of Air India, he further stated.
