Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan received a death threat call, the JanaSena Party said Monday.
An anonymous person threatened to “kill” the Deputy CM, according to a post on JSP’s official X handle. In addition to the calls, the person also sent derogatory text messages targeting the actor-turned politician, according to JSP.
“Deputy Chief Minister Shri Pawan Kalyan’s office staff received threatening calls from Agantakudi. A bystander who warned that he would be killed. In that order he sent messages warning with offensive language. Peshi (office) staff brought the threatening calls and messages to the attention of the Deputy Chief Minister. Peshi officers informed the police superiors about the threatening calls and messages,” JSP’s post said.
