Puri Shree Jagannath Temple Administration approves Rs 190 crore annual budget

Puri, Sept 6: Steel framing work of pockets of Jagmohan, the hall facing Sri Jagannath temple in Puri would be carried out by the Archeological Survey of India (ASI) from Tuesday.

For structural stability of the temple, the confinement of capital stone and four pillars are the vital work to be completed.

During the construction time from 12 noon to 6 pm, devotees would not face any problem to have darshan, informed sources.

It may be noted that the ASI had submitted an affidavit to the Orissa High Court earlier stating that no such significant progress had been carried out in the repair of the main structure of Jagmohan and had also asked the shrine administration for supplying the necessary materials and equipment for remaining repair work.
