Awareness programme on TB held in Puri, Odisha conducted by Sudarshan Patnaik on World TB Day

Puri, Mar 24: Today international sand sculptor and Padma Shree award winner, Sudarshan Patnaik inscreibes an awareness message through the medium of art for the treatment and cure of Tuberculosis on World Tuberculosis Day. In his message he stated that although TB is an incurable disease but it can be cured with deep meditation. Director of Health Services, Dr Kailash Chandra Das and TB Advisor of World Health Organisation (WHO), Dr Rajendra Ransingh were the delegates at the programme. Students holding placards of TB awareness message written on it were seen holding.

Patnaik stated to the media that after the assumption that there no TB patients at all in India, both the Central and State has decided to initiate awareness among the people about TB. There is a possibility of cure if the citizens are aware about the disease. Dr. Das also spoke to the media saying that TB is one of the challenging disease of the state, the country and also all over. It can be cured completely if every citizen becomes aware that it is a curable disease and the government is providing effective medicines for it.
