Ayushman Bharat to be Implemented in Odisha from April 1

Bhubaneswar: Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and Gopabandhu Jan Arogya Yojana will be implemented in Odisha from April 1. Along with this, Ayushman Vaya Vandana Yojana will also be launched. This decision was taken in a meeting held yesterday at Lok Seva Bhavan under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.

As per reports, events will be held in all the 1438 primary health centers of the state to launch this scheme. A massive awareness campaign will be launched to publicize and promote the scheme.

According to the meeting, both Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and Gopabandhu Jan Arogya Yojana will benefit more than 1 crore 03 lakh families in the state. More than 3 crore 46 lakh people will benefit individually.

Beneficiaries will be able to get medical facilities in more than 29 thousand government and registered private hospitals in the country after launch of these schemes.

An agreement was signed between the state government and the National Health Authority in New Delhi on January 13 for the implementation of Ayushman Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana in Odisha.
