Nabarangpur, Jan 20: In a case, to cure an infant, suffering from cold, cough and fever, was branded with hot seeds at Bharasundhi village in the district, leading to the death of the infant at the Nabarangpur DHH while undergoing treatment last night.
Identified as Akash Ganda, son of Biju Ganda, the deceased was admitted last night in critical condition after family members administered the cruel tradition of hot seed branding on the infants stomach to cure him from cold and fever.
Despite a lot of efforts by the doctors of the hospital, but the baby infant could not be saved.
