Jaleswar: At least three temples were looted yesterday night in Balasore district of Odisha. The loots took place from the Lord Jagannath temple in Benuda under Kamarda Police station limits and Maa Sheetala and Goddess Kali temples in Jhakajhaki under Bhogarai Police Sttion limits.
As per reports, looters took away gold ornaments and cash money after breaking the Donation Box of the Lord Jagannath temple in Benuda area under Kamarda Police Station limits yesterday night.
Similarly, the looters also looted gold ornaments, valuables and cash money from the Maa Sheetala temle in Jhakajhaki area under Bhogarai Police Station limits. Also, gold ornaments and cash was looted from the Goddess Kali temle in Jhakajhaki.
After getting information Police reached the temples and initiated investigation to trace out the looters. By the time this report was written, no looters had been arrested.
