Nuapada: As many as five children were injured after a mysterious balloon burst in Pakhanpada village under Dharambandha police limits in Nuapada district on Friday. They were rushed to Nuapada District Headquarters Hospital (DHH).
The children sustained burn injuries in their hands, legs and face. According to information, a red balloon floated from the sky on Friday. The children saw the balloon and ran behind it. While playing with it, the children pelted stones and the mysterious balloon burst injuring the children.
However, who had sent the balloon and who was it targeted at is yet to be ascertained. Police has seized the balloon and started an investigation into the matter.
