India Reports 175 New Cases Of Omicron Variant; Total Tally Rises To 1700

Bhubaneswar: July 22: In last 24 hours, 91 new COVID-19 cases were reported in Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation area. Out of that, 19 are local contact cases and rest 72 were in Quarantine.

As tweeted by BMC, 26 Employees of a Floor Mill of Mancheswar Area of Bbubaneswar have tested positive. 14 cases have been detected from Ganapati Nagar Basti near IRC Village. Like that, 9 employees of a construction company at Rajmahal Square have tested positive and they are all linked to an earlier positive case.

Besides, new cases were also found in different parts of the City like Chintamaniswar, Salia Sahi, BJB Nagar, Jharpada, Old Town, Unit-9, Nayapalli, Bhimpur, Niladri Vihar, Patia, Rasulgarh, Aiginia, Khandagiri, Kolathia, Unit-8, Dumduma, Saheed Nagar, Patrapada (AIIMs Nagar), Laxmi Sagar, Chandrasekharpur, Pandara, Pokhariput, Kharavel Nagar, Baramunda and others.

On the other side, 99 patients of Bhubaneswar have recovered from the disease.

1343 positive cases have been reported from Bhubaneswar so far and of this, 724 patients have already recovered from the disease and 606 cases are active.
