Bhubaneswar: June 21: On its first anniversary, i.e., June 25, the flagship program of the NDA Government, The Smart City Mission’s preparatory progress report would be viewed by the PM Narendra Modi.
Modi, would inaugurate work on Smart City Project from Pune on 25th June and the works would start simultaneously in 20 cities across the country including Bhubaneswar.
Through videoconferencing he will have discussions on the same with Housing and Urban Development Minister, Puspendra Singh Deo, Culture and Tourism Minister, Ashok Chandra Panda, along with two Bhuaneswar MLAs, Bijoya Mohanty and Priyadarshi Mishra, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Mayor, Ananta Narayan Jena, Commissioner Dr. Krishan Kumar and CEO of Smart City, Vineel Krishna.
Notably, a senior official of the Union Urban Development Ministry made a visit to Bhubaneswar to hold discussions with Smart City Ltd. and BMC officials in order to make the upcoming videoconferencing more productive and also a preparatory meeting was also held at the National Informatics Centre (NIC) in the city.
