Bhubaneswar: Feb 25: Addressing the post-Panchayat Election Press Conference, BJD leader and Minister Sanjay Kumar Dasburma thanked the people of odisha as they again extended their support to the leadership of Naveen Patnaik. Also, he said, ‘in few places, BJD has not done well, which will be reviewed by think-tank of the Party under the guidance of BJD Supremo Naveen Patnaik. Accordingly, Party will do all effort to rectify the mistakes happened at ground level’. Welcoming various questions from Media, Dasburma further claimed that the Odisha state BJP president and two of its union ministers have been rejected by the people of their respective districts in the three-tier Panchayat elections. Party’s General Secretary Arun Sahoo accused BJP of adopting ‘Goebbels propaganda theory’, saying the party is trying to mislead the people of the state’. Further Sahoo explained, ‘BJP has been attempting to create an impression in the public that it has defeated BJD.’ In the Press conference, Sahoo claimed, ‘BJD is still number one Political Party of the State and it will secure 470 to 480 Zilla Parishad Seats whereas BJP’s tally will be less than 300’. Speaking further he said, “While BJD got about 55 per cent of the seats, the opposition parties could only manage to get remaining 45 per cent. BJP could win in 33 per cent of seats’.
