Sambalpur, Feb 22: BJD has described Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally to address farmers as a damp squib.
They said the BJP was playing with the innocent farmers emotions and feelings.
“It’s nothing but political stunts. The PM’s tour to show the sympathy to the farmers is a delayed action, but we welcome it. But this move would have been better if the PM had offered consolation to the farmers when they were suffering,” said Sambalpur MLA and BJD spokesperson, Rasaswari Panigrahi.
“However, the State government is sensitive towards the farmers problems and trying to solve their problem. We are giving special importance to farming and irrigation. This stunt will not help the BJP in anyway,” she said.
