Bhubaneswar, Aug 4: On Wednesday, Chhattisgarh CM, Raman Singh alleged that the ruling party is policiticizing the Mahanadi issue thus barring the claims of Odisha Government.
Talking to reporters, Singh stated a non-issue was being made into an issue just to acquire political attention for the upcoming panchayat polls in Odisha. Chhattisgarh CM being astonished and said that when the state is using tremendous quantities of water being released from the Hirakud dam at the time of monsoon each year then why the government of the state is hurling the projects taken by the Chhattisgarh government which has also the right to use the river.
Taken aback by the BJD’s protest in Odisha to stop all trains heading to Chhattisgarh for 30 minutes on Wednesday, Singh clearly stated that the river projects have been cleared and approved by the CWC.
