Bhubaneswar, Feb 8: In view of the Panchayat Polls as the Chhattisgarh chief minister Raman Singh is to have an Odisha tour to campaign for BJP, the ruling BJD is not going to tolerate this and so has decided to stage Jal Satyagraha (sit-in protest inside water) from tomorrow as a protest to Singh’s stand on the Mahanadi water sharing issue. The activists would mark the protest in Sambalpur and Cuttack. This was informed to media by BJD spokesperson, Sashibhusan Behera. He said that in the morning, BJD party activists will stage the protest in Mahanadi at Sambalpur and ‘sandhya alati’ (evening puja) will be performed. Lastly he stated that this would be a peaceful and silent protest.

Notably, Singh is to arrive here tomorrow and campaign for the party in various districts of Odisha.
