Bhubaneswar, Feb 15: Over 10,000 lawyers belonging to 160 associations will congregate in Cuttack on February 28 to attend the first ever convention of the Legal Front of ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD).
The Legal Front was constituted nearly four months ago.
Around 10, 000 lawyers affiliated to nearly 160 associations are expected to participate in the conference to deliberate on the modalities for formation of the Law Commission are likely to be taken up at the meeting.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had announced to set up a Law Commission while addressing the 44th annual conference of All Odisha Lawyers’ Association in Cuttack last December.
