Bhubaneswar: April 25: BJP activists scuffled with the Police while protesting against the hike in users fee by Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation here on Monday.
Police tried to stop the BJP activists, when they attempt to enter inside the BMC building and its irate workers damaged the entrance gate of BMC, Police pushed them out of the premises. BJP has come up with multiple allegations against BMC like, misappropriation of Users’ fee collected from the Public, failing to take up solid waste management for safe disposal of garbage in the city and corruption at different levels of BMC.
Speaking on the scuffle between the BJP workers and Police, Spokes Person Lekhashri Samantray said, this government is misusing the Police administration and trying to hide massive corruption in the BMC’.
BJP leader Samir Mohanty and Prithiraj Harichandan demanded complete withdrawal of users fee while speaking to media on the protest.
