Bhubaneswar, Mar 14: The party leaders who had questioned BK Hariprasad’s capabilities in the party as the AICC general secretary, after the latter’s resignation yesterday, those now started to take the intra-party scuffle a step forward. Although, Hariprasad took it upon himself for his party’s miserable performance in the recently concluded Zilla Parishad elections, some top rival leaders barged onto the central leader and demanded that PCC president Prasad Harichandan should also do what Hariprasad did. Senior leader Anant Sethi expressed happiness over the party’s Odisha in-charge’s resignation but he still remained firm on his demand of Prasad’s ouster. Opposition chief whip and powerful leader, Tara Prasad Bahinipati, taking the revolt to an upper level, thanked the AICC leader for his act of resignation owing moral responsibility for the poll debacle.
