Dhamra, Oct 24: Under mysterious circumstances, a Sri Lankan Navy staff identified as Priyantha De Silva has been found dead inside a cargo vessel off Odisha coast on Sunday.
As per reports, Silva was on board on Bangladeshi cargo vessel Bedford Castle which was to anchor at Dhamra coast to transport iron ore. However, before the cargo vessel arrived at the coast, Silva died under mysterious circumstances.
Dhamra Marine police station has registered a case of unnatural death. For autopsy, the body was sent to the district headquarters hospital. His family residing in Colombo has been informed about the unfortunate incident.
