Veteran actor Arun Bali died on Friday morning at the age of 79 in his suburban Mumbai home.

According to family members, Arun Bali was hospitalized at the beginning of the year due to Myasthenia gravis, an autoimmune disease that causes a breakdown in signal transmission between the nerves and the muscles. Furthermore, he was responding well to treatment until he died at 4.30 a.m. on Friday.

Bali’s performance in TV shows such as period drama Chanakya, Swabhimaan, Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand, Kumkum – Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan, historical drama Chanakya, and P.O.W. – Bandi Yuddh Ke was well-received. He made his acting debut as superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s uncle in Lekh Tandon’s television series Doosra Keval.

Saugandh, Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman, Khalnayak, Satya, Hey Ram, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, 3 Idiots, Ready, Barfi, Manmarziyaan, Kedarnath, Samrat Prithviraj, and Laal Singh Chaddha are some of his popular films.

Arun Bali was most recently seen in the film Goodbye, which was released on Friday. Amitabh Bachchan, Rashmika Mandanna, Neena Gupta, Sunil Grover, Pavail Gulati, Ashish Vidyarthi, Elli AvrRam, Sahil Mehta, Shivin Narang, and Abhishekh Khan also star in the film, which is directed by Vikas Bahl.
