Bhubaneswar, Dec 25: Today, the main accused in the murder of Seaways Shipping GM, Mahendra Swain, Mahimananda Mishra, the Managing Director of Odisha Stevedores Ltd (OSL) and his aide, Basant Bal have been arrested form Thailand.
KB Singh, Odisha DGP confirmed the arrest of the duo to the media.
After getting the report, a Police team have been sent to Thailand to bring the duo to Odisha and upon their reaching Odisha, they will be formally arrested, informed Singh.
The duo were arrested from a hotel located in Pratunam area, Bangkok. Immigration commissioner Pol Lt Gen Nathathrn identified the duo, sources said.
After tracing them at various tourist spots in Chon Buri, Bureau investigator found them in the Pratunam area.
It may be noted that, till now, six accused have been arrested by the police. The cops have also raided Mishra’s residence located in Bhubaneswar, Paradip and his office. Two days back, based on the local police’s petition, the Kujang JMFC court Issued NBW against Mishra and Bal.
