BSNL: Introduces Unlimited Broadband Combo Plan at 249; Cuts Mobile Data with data benefits increased by 100%

Bhubaneswar, Sept 7: To compete with the newly launch reliance JIO sim with attractive plans, BSNL also has come up with new plans for its existing customers as well as for new customers.

Shri Satyananda Naik, the Chief General Manager, BSNL, Odisha at the press conference organized at the BSNL Bhavan today informed about the newly introduced plans of BSNL.

In addition to the recent new offers in land line segments like new land line connections for Rs 49, free calling on Sundays, Night free calling facility on all other days, BSNL has now introduced Combo Unlimited Broadband Plan for Rs 249 for its new customers. In this plan, subscriber can use Unlimited Data along with free calling on Sundays and Night calling facility on other days by paying just Rs 249 per month for the first six months. Thereafter, the subscriber can migrate to any plan of his own choice. In plan 249 the monthly telephone rent as well as initial installation charge is totally free. In this plan 1 GB data will cost only Re 1.

In addition to this, BSNL has introduced two more unlimited BBG Combo ULD – 449 and BBG Combo ULD – 1199 for its existing customers.

In BBG – 449 Combo subscriber can use Unlimited Broadband service at upto 2 Mbps spread till 1 GB and thereafter at a speed of flat 1 Mbps along with Free calling on Sundays and Night calling facility on other days by paying just Rs 499 per month.

Similarly, in BBG – 1199 Combo subscriber can use Unlimited Broadband service at flat 2 Mbps speed along with Free Unlimited Voice calls to any number at any time across India by paying just Rs 1199 per month.

In the mobile sector; BSNL has introduced three attractive and cost effective data STVs namely, STV – 1099, STV – 549, STV – 156.

The Data STV – 1099 provides Unlimited 3G data without any Speed Restrictions for 30 days.

The Data STV – 549 provides 10 GB 3G Data for 30 days.

The Data STV – 156 provides 2 GB Data for 10 days.

In addition, the validity of the existing Data STV – 561 which provided 5 GB 3G Data has been extended to 60 days.

Further, BSNL is going to launch Two Post-Paid Plans 1125 and 1525 from Sept 9, 2016.

In these two Plans by paying a month fixed charges of Rs 1125 and Rs 1525 subscribers can use 1 GB and 5 GB Data respectively along with Unlimited Voice calls to any network.

This facility is available during Roaming also.  

The new plans will help to retain existing BSNL customers and also will attract the new customers, said Naik.  

After the press meet addressing on various problem related to call drop and other network issues he said that, till now out of 500 BTS, around 150 BTS in the city has been established and remaining BTS will be come up very soon to overcome the network problem in different areas off city.

He further added, around 1, 12,000 customers are using BSNL prepaid sim and after these new plans are launched the 2,500 new customers who have registered for new connection will increase to 4000-5000, he informed.
